Los Angeles witnessed citywide festivities after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-game World Series championship. Supporters worldwide united with local residents in jubilation, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a team has achieved back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Draws Massive Turnout
Los Angeles area events featured a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Social media videos depict countless of Angelenos packing city center avenues, many displaying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy high.
