Marcus Rashford asserts that he encounters nothing at Barcelona as "a pressure" and is relishing a "new language of football" as he keeps flourishing following his move from Manchester United.
"I don't view anything here as like a pressure. It's just, I'm here to play football," Rashford told media.
The 28-year-old England forward signed for the Spanish club on a temporary transfer in the offseason after a difficult spell at Old Trafford, which included a second-half of last season spent on loan at Aston Villa.
Impressive Start in Spanish Football
His switch to La Liga has been a notable achievement thus far, with the player scoring a half-dozen goals and contributing eight assists in twenty-one outings.
"It's been amazing. I feel welcome. I've just been appreciating every step of the way," Rashford continued.
Embracing a Fresh Lifestyle
Rashford, who shared that Barcelona were his "favorite club outside of England" during his youth, said he is making an effort to fully engage in the lifestyle while living in the Catalan capital.
"It's different, but it's a excellent learning curve for me," he noted. "And even little things, picking up the language and learning the culture, it's all enjoyable for me."
Professional Revival and Long-Term Possibilities
After scoring one hundred and thirty-eight goals in four hundred and twenty-six games for United and claiming five significant honors, Rashford lost his place at his boyhood club. This led to a short-term move to Aston Villa before his 12-month loan to Barca in July.
His outstanding loan spell at Villa Park caught the eye of England manager Thomas Tuchel, enabling him to regain his place in the national squad.
Barcelona, the record La Liga champions, hold an option to buy to sign Rashford on a permanent basis for £30.3m in 2026. Rashford has already expressed his wish to remain.
Fresh Philosophy of The Game
"It's a different philosophy of football," said Rashford. "I've always been, like many people, an admirer of Spanish football. To play for the largest team in Spain is a huge honour."
His performance in a recent 2-1 Champions League victory, where he was substituted on and provided an assist, earned accolades from the Spanish media.
With Barcelona leading the league, Rashford's objective for the rest of the season is "to win trophies."
"This is a team that expects this," he concluded. "The environment is always driving us to be the best players we can be, so it's perfect to be in a environment like this."
