In a bizarre collaboration that defies usual forecasts, the game developer has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Revealed
According to the formal announcement, "An unusual meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of prohibited practices and terrifying changes echo through the darkness." The narrative features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden group.
The questline concentrates on "peculiar trials and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
